I agree with the overall sentiment (for instance i HATE when they put 4 games on at the same time on new years day) but there's the same amount of games at noon, 330, primetime so you're always going to miss something. last week osu/psu was by far the biggest game and the 330 and primetime matchups were really weak, especially with the sec taking the week off. there was absolutely no reason to put that game at the noon slot.
are they going to put the big 10 champ game on at noon? or any of the playoff games? like, there's a reason for this.
and you should care about California because #1 they're people too(!) who deserve to watch the games. And the more eyeballs on these games the better promotion for the conference which trickles down into recruiting. given all the time mich fans have babbled on and on about 'branding' you'd think you'd get this.
also the noon starts make it very difficult for out of state recruits to visit for the game.
fox's decision to put the biggest game on at noon has nothing to do with fan enjoyment or whatever. it's strictly about ratings and promoting their pregame show. it's not some kind of noble pursuit for the betterment of cfb.
