Lee's return seemed logical when Panarin fell through.
What doesn't seem logical is why the Islanders would offer Lehner, coming off a great season, a two-year contract and then turn around and sign Varly for FOUR years coming off, well, his entire career of being oft-injured and inconsistent.
Let's grant that Lehner is a "system success," well, it happened in THEIR SYSTEM.
Also telling that he shot that down and then took a one-year deal for the same amount per year with Chicago. Didn't have a lot of faith in the Isles' organization, I guess.
