"Congrats to Tyus Jones for setting an NBA assist-to-turnover record."
Until this year, only three players with 200+ assists in a season had put up an assist-to-turnover ratio of better than 4:1.
The previous record for a qualifying NBA player was held by Terrell Brandon, who put up a 6.14:1 assist-to-turnover ratio, set over 15 years ago-- but he only played 32 games that season. The previous record for a player who also played the majority of a team's games was Muggsy Bogues, with a 5.94:1 back in 1990.
Tyus Jones SMASHED both of those numbers, putting up an absurd 6.96:1 assist-to-turnover ratio this season.
Good timing, as he enters restricted free agency this year. Secure that bag with high efficiency, Tre!
