This completely eliminates buzzer beaters. I love close basketball games as they are.

I only see this as a potential benefit if one team is down 10 or so with 4 to go and is going to start fouling soon. This can eliminate those foulfests and keep both teams playing ball, and keep the leading team from going into stall ball because they’ve gotta keep scoring to end the game.
