"NHL All Star Game's John Scott situation is perfect"
It captures and sums-up alot of what is both horrible and great with professional sports, the idiocy of mid-season all star games, in general, and the power of fans that take the cash grabs a hell of a lot less seriously than the behind-the-times execs do.
As someone that has been to an NHL All Star Weekend ("been" is strong, I lived in Atlanta and couldn't avoid free tickets all weekend...watching 18K out-of-state/country hockey fans come to grips with Ne Yo was the best part). The game itself is the biggest joke in the world and no amount of "prize money" can change that to the superstars that normally get voted in.
Shame that NBA fans can't have a little fun and get an Andre Miller or someone campaign going.
