"Pierce and KG: Proof that God takes care of haters"

MMMMM HMMMM.

Has any player ever talked more about another player than KG and Peezy do about Lebron?

And has anyone ever flipped the script and punished the haters with progressively greater righteous smiting than the KANG?

Remember when these dudes were jawing at Wade during games, telling him he picked the wrong guy? Three years later, Wade got three, Ray Allen got two, and those are running totals.

KG and Peezy got one, forever and ever, amen.

And yet they STILL TALK.

Why did Peezy ask for that assignment? Wasn't 2012 Game 6 enough? Didn't he learn his lesson that he fat and slow? Shouldn't he have figured out that he's now old too?

Peezy couldn't do that. Because #dathate is powerful, and #dathate is the defining feature of his career. Not the one...measly...ring he has. Not them points. Not even getting stabbed like a punk. Peezy's lasting legacy will be picking a fight with a dude he, on his best day, wasn't half as good as. He can't help himself, because once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.

Kang was happy though. He's a generous, benevolent Kang, not prone to sticking a foot up the ass of the elderly, particularly when they've never even seen his level. But rocks at the throne and such.

It's only the Boston bias of the white media that keeps this from getting the attention it deserves, btw. Really white people love Boston, due to its incredibly effective marketing and government efforts to minimize the nonwhite presence more than any other city. So when people do things in Boston, even if it's as ridiculous as Paul Pierce rocking that Melo babyfat for his entire career or KG's schtick, they'll generally let it go, because Boston uber alles and all.

A truly unbiased media would talk about how increasingly silly KG and Peezy look speaking as if the Kang is or ever has been a rival, rather than they just vassals like everybody else. Bron gets the VIP treatment at the HOF and pops bottles with Wilt. These dudes are general admission waiting in line with Clyde Drexler at the bar

Incidentally, really white people love Chicago for the same reason, just not quite as much, because not as many white people go to college there and because the Midwest is boring. Chicago does its best to fight that boredom, but there's only so much you can do.

Pierce still gave him the business during their title run. So I'd say, "...

May 13th 2014

He's well entrenched in the Top 50 imo.

May 13th 2014

Nah. Bird is by far a greater player.
May 13th 2014
61
Dog, Bird might be the most balanced offensive player in history
May 13th 2014
62
Yea - Pierce may be a more prolific scorer, but that's it.
May 13th 2014
63
Bird was a better scorer too. Much, much, much better.
May 13th 2014

RE: Bird was a better scorer too. Much, much, much better.

Pierce has only scored more because he played 2+ more seasons
May 13th 2014
66
Its, like, not even close. Good GOD @ that 1986-1987 stat line
May 13th 2014
69
LOL @ Paul Pierce being in the same hemisphere as Larry Bird offensively
May 13th 2014

May 13th 2014
77
                                              love Parish, but he's wrong.
May 13th 2014
78
greater offensive versatility does not equate to better offense player
May 14th 2014
97
Bird was better at 2 of the 3 triple threat options though
May 14th 2014
94
come on! Not even a debate
May 13th 2014
80
No maybe to it - Pierce. IS. NOT. A. top 50. player
May 13th 2014
82

Kobe would have had a 50+ game on Piru by game 2 at latest
May 13th 2014
2
yep cuz that's what he did in 08 and 10 against Pierce smh
May 13th 2014
4
Kobe has earned his fans the right to talk
May 13th 2014
5
I don't disagree. I hated those guys until I had to root for them.
May 13th 2014
8
Kobe has literally never had a 50-point playoff game in his life.
May 13th 2014
84
Did I say fifty? I meant
May 13th 2014

May 13th 2014

I'm down with the Kang, and I'm gloating.
May 13th 2014
15
Nice way to ignore the real story
May 13th 2014
17
Shells' Iverson regret and Kobe hate have turned him into
May 15th 2014
103
It really is poetic to observe as it unfolds, isn't it?
May 13th 2014
13
Pierce and KG are why Lebron went to Miami, though
May 13th 2014
16
and for that reason, Vex is still right - its (poetic) justice
May 13th 2014
19
      ^^^good point
May 13th 2014
20
I'd argue Dan Gilbert's ineptitude is why Kang went to Miami
May 13th 2014
22
           ^^ dead
May 13th 2014
24
Aha...but those Pistons *did* make Michael Jordan, though
May 13th 2014
31
I don't think they *made* Jordan. They fueled the fires.

May 13th 2014

most times athletes in the twilight of their careers know not to wake
May 13th 2014
28
LOL @ the the most gifted player ever as a "sleeping dog"
May 13th 2014
40
that's what i was kinda thinking...
May 13th 2014
41
Apparently Lebron James only plays well when egged on by Paul Pierce
May 13th 2014
42
He certainly wasn't "sleeping" - but his numbers were down
May 13th 2014
43
yea this ain't the first time bron been motivated
May 13th 2014
51
when Bron went bath salt (game 6, Boston) - it cemented his reign
May 13th 2014
76
consider he hadn't played all that well prior to last nite's gm
May 13th 2014
55
I'm confused, did vex steal bshelly's login?
May 13th 2014

Still more rings than Iverson.

May 13th 2014
37
I'd say the second and possible third ring for Allen is better proof
May 13th 2014
38
Without KG and Pierce, Allen is probably out the league by now
May 13th 2014
39
      ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
May 13th 2014
46
That's not what I was talking about
May 13th 2014
47
Ray sold the fuck out, he went over to the dark side on some old...
May 13th 2014
48
sold out the team that tried to trade him numerous times
May 13th 2014
49
lol they were playing Avery Bradley more than Ray during his last year
May 13th 2014
50
Ray didn't owe shit to the Celtics besides his effort when he was...
May 13th 2014
52
I'm not mad at Ray but the contradictions are killing me in here
May 13th 2014
53
                     exactly. n/m
May 13th 2014
54
Paul Pierce trying to make friends w/ Bron after the fact was the ONLY
May 13th 2014
56
                     here's another contradiction:
May 13th 2014
57
I had similar feelings when Robert Horry went to the Spurs, anytime...
May 13th 2014
59
                     pierce didn't do that.
May 13th 2014
67
point is: He had to team up w/ 2 other hall-of-famers to win
May 13th 2014
73
problem is it's not a legit rivalry anymore
May 13th 2014
58
Yup. Pierce/Garnett made Lebron join an existing finals MVP
May 13th 2014
60
and this is what exactly PP/KG are doing now w/the Nets lol - teaming
May 14th 2014
96
Both just collecting guaranteed checks at this point
May 14th 2014
100
they only 'cared' when playoffs came around
May 15th 2014
104
                     can't co-sign this enough
May 13th 2014
87
                     ^^^
May 14th 2014
98
Bron used the cheat code so he's supposed to win
May 13th 2014

May 13th 2014
79
