2. The only way people would call him the centerpiece of a good franchise is because he plays CENTER. Other than that, no. He was the #1 overall pick taken ahead of 2 Hall of Famers. And he struggles to stay on the court. And when he's on the court he's been average to underwhelming.
3. He's averaged 5 and 7 and they made the playoffs with him playing only 32 games. Where he's been somewhere from underwhelming to solid. He's not their 2nd best player. He's not their 3rd. He's right before Harrison Barnes in terms of importance, behind Steph, Klay, D-Lee, and Jack. He's a role player.
