I am a Lovie Smith fan. Best Bears coach of my lifetime. Really, really did not want to see him fired.

Philly would be lucky to have him and should jump at the chance. They have a decent amount of talent, Lovie gets people ready to play and has a thick enough skin to halfway make it in the boiling stew of racism and self-hatred that is philly sports.

But you do not know what you are talking about regarding Cutler. You think he won't win a SB or lead a team there, fine. You are not alone in your evaluation, although I disagree.

But no one who watched the Bears during Lovie's 10 years on the team would say that if not for Jay Cutler, he would have won more games. Lovie had a lot of other QB's. He took bum ass Grossman to a Superbowl, when we had a really good oline. He wants a run first team and he is good at coaching them, but once our GM allowed the oline to dissolve, we were never able to be consistent on offense again.

It's that simple. Any Bears fan will tell you. I watched every game, every year. The lack of an offensive line and his inability to get the right offensive coordinator in place is what doomed his offenses in Chicago.

Get him the right coordinator, and draft/sign a line that can BLOCK (and this includes the run, Bears run blocking was shit, which helps lead to a lot of third and longs, exposing your shit pass blocking)

Lovie Smith is a great coach. Shelve the Cutler agenda, at least for the sake of making a strong argument on his behalf. Bears should not have fired him and likely will live to regret it.

Anyone who thinks we would be better off with Kyle Orton is out of their mind though.
