Not sure about that, for the top, top guys. As a Cuse fan I fully believe Carmelo would’ve been the same level player regardless of where he went. Might not have won a chip everywhere else because Boeheim was smart enough to leave him the f alone and give him the ball.

Yeah, it’s hard to win a one and done tourney. Developing talent for the very top recruits in one year is overrated IMO. Again speaking from a Cuse perspective, Syracuse gets WAY more credit for a Hakim Warrick - a nobody recruit with little game when he showed up and raw athleticism who became an All American and 10 year NBA player - than they do Carmelo Anthony.

Definitely not easy to win in a one and done format. I’ve thought Calipari was good since UMass. I guess my point is the recruiting results are way out of wack recently with how good he is in comparison to other coaches. And I don’t get it.
