RE: many players are afraid to find out who they are w/o football

particularly from the South, have been bred to play the game since the earliest of their days. I've seen leagues where kids started playing tackle at the age of 5.

Everything these kids do is surrounded by football. Recently, I saw teams of young kids practicing in March. They are playing it year round in some parts. They, generally speaking, have no opportunity to learn and be exposed to anything else besides that pigskin.
