When you consider that the 2 lottery picks on that team(Waiters, MCW) didn't even start. Though they were lottery picks a year apart. But Melo and Joseph were also first round picks on that team, Southerland was drafted, CJ Fair had a big role on that team as a soph, and then non-NBA players but veteran college guards Scoop Jardine and Brandon Triche. Christmas was a contributor as a freshman too, plus Keita.
This team doesn't have the depth or as much athleticism as that team did. I do think this is the smartest, savviest SU team in a long time and that starts with Ennis.
