That's the thing, a player like Harden is not going magically just start playing D. A team has to establish a defensive culture. When Boston put together their "Big 3" KG was the key to establishing their defense culture, guys like Pierce and Allen had never played D in their life. KG was an extension of the floor of what the Boston coaches wanted to do and quarterbacked that defense and held guys accountable.

Houston doesn't have that type of leadership on their team right now.
