when interest for the fight was at it's highest floyd fought infrequently (once a year), retired (TWICE!!!), and presented unforeseen obstacles at the negotiating table basically anything he could do to hem and haw during that 3-4 yr period when the fight could have been the biggest event in sports history manny went on to get robbed in the bradley fight, then got caught while going in for the kill against marquez and now interest is dead the same ppl in here saying they have no interest now had no interest THEN the argument simply switched from floyd makes enough money he doesn't have to fight manny to marquez beat manny so floyd would kill him nevermind the fact that a>b b>c so a>c doesn't work in boxing it's actually some of the most faulty logic you could use while evaluating the sport (see manny and trout's performance vs. cotto compared to floyds for example) just boggles my mind how a segment of fans of the sport argued against seeing perhaps the biggest fight in the sports history floyd is an all time great and manny won fighter of the decade while putting up dominating performances against much bigger men when he dropped cotto wit a CHECK hook i was like woah smh the sport really lost out by not having it when it should imo even if it happens some how i think it would be roy vs. bhop II levels of meh
anyway, on top of the decreased interest manny is fighting in macau with 0 (or very low at least) taxes if you don't have to give uncle sam half your money why would u china may end up being a very lucrative market for him basically building a new fan base and getting beaucoup endorsements and what not
