21. "Jennings not necessarily gunna have starting job" In response to In response to 0
Pistons president Joe Dumars said Brandon Jennings isn't guaranteed the starting point guard job.
Jennings will have to earn the job during camp and the preseason, fending off Chauncey Billups, Will Bynum and possibly Peyton Siva. While it's good to hear the Pistons aren't handing anything to Jennings, it would be a pretty big surprise if he loses the starting job to one of those three. Billups, at his age, is better suited to being a backup, while Bynum is more of a combo guard that seems better suited coming off the bench. Siva, meanwhile, isn't even a lock to make the team. We expect Jennings will get the starting gig, although it'll be worth watching to see what Billups has left in camp.
-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.
