"Knicks vs. Boston Game 2." Tue Apr-23-13 09:40 AM by Cenario
Boston played very well in game 1 in my opinion and have a lot to build on. Knicks clamped down in the 2nd half but the defense in the 1st half was terrible as was the offense throughout.
Boston adjustments -
I expect Pierce to handle more pg duties. He's their best option. It will wear him down but I'm not sure Doc has an alternative.
Garnett has to do something down low. The 18fter's are cute but the Knicks will live with that.
Knicks as a whole are small. It's Boston's only on the court edge in this series. They have to capitalize.
Boston's bench has to find a way to contribute.
Knicks adjustments -
Have to stop the Bradley backdoor cuts.
Need more offensive continuity. The Melo/JR iso's were mind-numbingly bad. Felton dribbled down the clock to 8 seconds repeatedly and passed to Melo. We need to get into our sets quicker.
Chandler needs to impact both ends of the floor the way Kmart did.
Knicks need to play all game with the same intensity that they had in the 4th qtr.
Melo needs to stop playing with Bass. Blow by him with one or two moves...it shouldn't take 6 seconds to get a step on him lol.
Prigioni is probable and will start if he plays. I think this plays into Boston's size advantage bc the matchups would be Pierce/Felton and Green/Shumpert.
Prediction - Knicks lead throughout and pull away late 97-85
-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.
