More times than I can count - these thing amount

to the proverbial hill of beans - as if it seems

more likely to recite a verse or fragment

that tangentially applies - though some seem surprised

to look on the terrain with new eyes before they realize

how time flies which gives rise to assertions

pertinent to what's at hand though we stand ready

to forge ahead as those being led towards some objective

irrespective of how we got here, it seems clear

though nearing the precipice, we grow restless

some suggest to lay off while this stays off

the usual format, what's in store might be hard to take

as some lie awake postulating scenarios as the variables

try to encroach some loaf off then try to claim lost ground
