I ask as I stare down at the empty sheet...
Loose leaf or the score sheet, I lose
Sleep many a night over plight and restored grief,
War or peace...my hair grows long in lament,
Writing to salvage only thoughts of calm and content, so
Songs in content and context preempt and
Reflex my inner nature, both in cause and effect, I’m yup:
Strong as cement; flowing like water;
A fury of a flame, a poem is like fodder, the
Tone is flat and sharp; I rip raps apart from my
Heart, but the beat stays with them, and replays
Send em circulating thru the page to these days
(Remains of contemptible venomous displays)
The pen is enraged: an inkwell bled, think
Swelled head of new ways to speak well said, but
Complete??? No way! The bleak spell sped and...
bell tolled like Mrs. hooks or Mel to said
Brooks Brothers Suits: handsomely well read in them
Books undertook, but the speech fell dead, so I
Fled to understanding, commanding ownership of my
Lonesomeness...without the hopeless reprimanding...
Waiting for them rainbows and wholesome second chancing to
Discontinue this pain, and make gains towards advancing, but still...

While loyalties make me into an honest fool...but I’ve
Spoken up…opened the notebook up…

Soul nearing empty, I see the page as half filled,
Rearing sent me to simply and plain literal
Pain, so literally, the page is Advil, the
Rarity submits me...my rage at standstill...but
Care for me convinced me to go for self, to go for
Health, to go for wealth, in the darkness, to go for stealth;
My starkest rhymes have me provoked to yelp, but
Outta luck cause I still dunno where to go for help...
