If you come from this land You are automatically grounded
This place we were raised in Cultivated our imaginations Brought our intuition into fruition
Yet she worries me We eat her habitats so hurriedly
And if you must make a comparison Are you more a Tecumseh Or a Henry Harrison?

This will be part of a cover story in a local weekly paper here in Indianapolis called intake (www.intakeweekly.com) where five writers were asked to answer the question "What is Indiana?" in twenty to fifty words (short!). Our words were then sent to different graphic design firms here in town, where they will do full page layouts of the work to be published. I won't get to see it 'til it hits the stands on Nov. 30th, but I'll give a direct link in this post.
Now it's your turn. Write about your state in fifty words or less. Put the state's (or province or whatever they got where you're at) in the subject line. Let's see how many places we can get.
