Escaping the cold of Chicago, in L.A.....
A bright and sunny day

We say, this is business... with, maybe some play..
But it's all business as you slowly walk my way...
Looking into my eyes we realize,
we've got a problem..

After solving it, we go to the Beverly Center..
must shop for Kanye's party...

We see 'AJ' from 106 and Park,
Please don't laugh, that's not nice...
but we both know that sometimes a bit of fame has it's price

The people don't seem real, coming from the streets of Chicago
It's seems, people are just a bit too... 'chill'
We laugh, but I don't as I come to find out
that you wish to buy everything in your PATH

A break from recording seems like a dream

A post grammy party, oh wow I can't wait...
Driving up on Sunset Blvd, to see a line of Bentlys
And stretch Hummers lined up at the gate...

My attitude kicks in,
fuckin celebs... shit!

But, this is her big day..

Fan gather on the outside, hoping to get a glimpse
As we stand in the VIP line, the glam of it all
makes me a bit tense...
Too much attention for me, when your used to ducking and
diving from the police.... sheesh. lol

Christina Milian stands behind us waiting,
As you eye me..... shady.
Then comes others, Ying Yang.. David Banner,
Acting in a celebrity manor... shorter than I suspected...

I look at Christina out the corner of my eye,
For medicinal purposes...

As the celebs walk the red carpet thingy,
I'm thinking the door and a drink,
no sooner than the thought... we are in..
and my guest smiles with an unusual grin...

In the door right turn, suddenly my eyes burn..
Jay Z, Beyonce.. standing right there..
A sight in which I was not prepared...
the look at us, we wave 'wassup'...
Then quickly walk over to Lupe...
Damn, dawg.... wtf?

Wasn't ready for that one.... and then party goes downhill from there

Who else do we look forward to seeing? Oh yeah, Kanye..
About 40 minutes later, white glove and all walks our way..
Beyonce plays with your hair...Brandy stops to stare..
I walk away, because I think I see Nia Long down there...

All this just to pass along a cd?
And all I can think about is getting back to the Hotel,
so we can finally be FREE..
Free from expectations, and that life...
together, alone... we're happy again..

More than my lover, more than my friend...

Months later, today.. we remain together... amazed at the fact
we have more fun on the run,
or meditating under the sun...
