"chasing dreams|catching butterflies (part I: lucy and the baby)"
i been 11 for 6 years now scared of being older. my momma done up and left me with this baby, it's sick all the time, throwin up white stuff, coughin. i let it suck my finger so it can shut up. i say, "hush now, we all we got." it look up at me like it know what i say. it smile, blow bubbles, talk gibberish. blue marbles for eyes, copper skin. it's my momma's alright. i hug it close and watch it dream.
