I almost expected a Galaxy Quest like escape and re-appearance.

It felt the tone shifts were VERY clunky here, the exposition and dialogue TOLD me about motivations more than the acting or the actions did. It was clunky, for me.

I disagree with this STRONGLY. Dozens/hundreds of extras dancing around on a blue screen differs a lot from Gomorra sharing time with Starlord, or baby Groot dancing. It seemed it least 5 minutes of forced dancing without having earned it. (But hey, I've seen a lot of people who like this part online - it's just my opinion here.)
IT reminded me of the end of Jedi - which in real time I did not like. Or the false endings to the LOTR trilogy.
