Whatever you thought this show should/would be, it isn't.

I'm not suggesting that the show is perfect or that it can't be criticized. Like you, I appreciate that the show isn't beholden to a specific perspective. They started with a show called Atlanta, in Atlanta, about characters from Atlanta. Since then, the show (including the cast and audience) has grown to include a bit more than its initial offerings. I'm fine with that.
