"The Greatest Showman (Michael Gracey, 2017)" Sun Dec-10-17 09:12 PM by bwood
This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be so that's a plus.
This is super cloying and manipulative trying to pull on as many heartstrings as possible.
But this is still a low common denominator film about a known piece of shit. Despite Hugh Jackman and the script trying their best Barnum is still an asshole.
The songs are overproduced with the numbers not being anything memorable either.
Despite the studio trying their best to get into our good graces with free food, jugglers and face painting it still not worth it.
It's also weird seeing a major studio play their opening logo twice back-to-back, but hey there's a first for everything.
I'll end with this. This is under indefinite review embargo with less than 2 weeks till release.
