I'm tragically behind the curve in terms of TV and movies, but I have to say that 2016 was one of the better years.

Moonlight
Deadpool
Arrival
Civil War
Rogue One

were all great movies. Moonlight, Deadpool and Arrival landed completely out of left field and were all pleasant surprises.

The only new show I've seen this year is This is Us, but it's great, and is well-made and authentic, especially for a network drama.

I'm still checking in on Blindspot and Homeland was one of the better years of that series in quite some time.

So, I would rank 2016 as a highpoint.
