"TV show premises that should be passé today."

This post might not work, but I was thinking about a lot of shows that the premise was probably considered ground-breaking, controversial or a big deal at the time, but are common place, super-uncontroversial and not a big deal at all now.

Like the premise of threes company hi-jinks ensue when a guy takes two roommates...who are also WOMEN!

Or Cagney and Lacy, a cop show....about WOMEN cops.

Or who's the boss. A show about a nanny...whose a DUDE!!

Or the Cosby Show, a show about an affluent Brooklyn family...who are BLACK?? (though I doubt this was the pitch for the Cosby Show rather than a vehicle for Bill Cosby).

I had more when I was thinking about this at 4Am in the morning.

Get where I am going with this?
