Anybody catch this? It's available on their website for free.
Some of the moody stuff worked but overall I felt like the pilot wasn't really sure about who the lead was. Part of me feels like they should have just opened with Josh Hartnett's character and brought us into the world along with him. Instead, we knew that supernatural forces existed in the world and we were just waiting for him to catch up. (And the only reason it seems like he needed to catch up was so they could have some muscle, although Dalton had to save him in the first fight.)
On the other hand, I'd much rather have the focus be on Eva Green but she kind of fell to the background as the show went on.
And the final "revelation" which is a fact that is in all of the ads for the show was more of a "Oh, that's cool" moment than something that made me want to tune in next week.
Overall, I'd say the mood was solid but the sense of purpose was missing. (Ol' Bond wanting to find his daughter was said over and over but I had no investment in it.)
With an 8 episode run, seems like the perfect candidate to wait on and binge if it gets good reviews.
