Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (1958) Liz Taylor, Paul Newman
I really don't know how good of an actress Liz was. I thought Virginia Woolf was a terrible film. Liz and Burton were acting up(playing themselves) as opposed to acting. Just two gotdamn hours of them screaming at eachother. Giant was a solid film. Now i have seen the cat on the roof. It is definitely better than the other two.
COAHTR is about a dysfunctiional southern family. The family patriarch is big daddy Pollitt (Burl Ives). He is a wealthy man and his imminent death is causing all hell to break loose. Ives performance is just wonderful, imo it is better than the two leads. I wonder if the audience ever caught on to the real secret. Oh yeah the real relationship between Brick and his buddy Skip, lol. OK i am gonna quit before i get into trouble.
