46. "Could've been (and probably should've been) the series' finale" In response to In response to 0
First I'd like to say that the season ended well. I liked the last three or four episodes a lot. The season started strong, got bogged down in the recall shit, got some new life when Andy came back and Ann/Chris left, and finished strong.
The last hour pretty much wrapped up all the major story lines of the season/series: Leslie moves on but still finds a way to have her cake on eat it too, Pawnee finally embracing the unification, Jamm becomes irrelevant, Ben gets caked off that Cones of Dunshire guap, Tom finds success and tells Dr. Saperstein to suck it, Ron spurns Tammy 2 and is comfortable enough with his family to out himself as Duke Silver, Andy gets the band back together, and the Lil' Sebastian hologram for the win!
Not to much more was needed after the flash forward of three years showing Leslee busy as hell but still excelling at her position. I applaud Schur for confirming, now that NBC has committed to another season, that they've committed to keep the next season set it 2017. I also like that they flash-forwarded past all the screaming baby triplet jokes. And I like that Schur has said that the next season will indeed be less about Pawnee problems and more about National Park issues.
So while this season was certainly uneven, I'm left at least hopeful for the next and what I imagine is the final season.
