The chemical brothers (neither of us are notable fans) did an unbelievable job scoring and pacing their sounds. Just perfect.

Ronan was fatastic. I loved her in Atonement and also thought she was the strongest part of the dead girl movie (forget the name right now). So to see her in this robotic role was impressive. But more impressive was how she released these little flashes of natural humanity in her new and scary surroundings outside of the forest.

Most of the movie was gorgeous too. Just beautifully shot. The scene with Hanna and Sophie under the covers in the tent after their party was particularly beautiful.

I thought Bana and Blanchett were both very strong. Blanchett in particular was interesting to watch as she so rarely plays these kinds of roles. Perhaps it was the homage to Hilary Clinton with the hair, power-suits and OCD traits, but I really enjoyed her character.

The cottage Bana and Ronan live in was hilarious too. Just saying. I was waiting for Bilbo Baggins to show up any moment.

Sidenote: As the final scene came to a close and the big red "HANNA" swipe came across the screen, two guys started to boo with another girl saying "make that 3 boos." My gf and I looked at each other like "Seriously? What could you A) possibly expected? B) Have been let down by? enough to boo. If you went in having only seen the poster and the title, what did you expect? Its a girls face and says HANNA. Or, if you saw the trailer and still boo'd...youre just insane. The trailer was exactly what the film ended up being. I just couldnt understand the boo's.

To not like it is one thing, but to boo and then say "2 hours of my life I want back"...we just looked at each other like "huh?"
