"Rate the twist in The Prestige/Rating twists in general"

A friend and I were talking and I made a rough scale of 1 to 10 for twists.

10 - Twist makes sense, is elegant, reasonably unexpected/unpredictable, re-contextualizes movie in a very that makes an already good movie much more satisfying, rewards repeated viewing.

8 - Twist makes sense, reasonably unexpected/unpredictable, re-contextualizes movie in a way that makes film better, but it's arguable that without the thrill of the twist the movie isn't quality.

5 - This is for twists that could go either way. Twist kind of makes sense. Twist kind of re-contextualizes movie. Twist is kind unexpected. Anything above 5 is satisfying. Anything below 5 is annoying.

3 - Twists that are either reasonably unexpected/unpredictable but make no sense, or twists that make sense but are way to easy to see coming, generally make movie worse

1 - Twists that don't work on any level whatsoever.

So here's a sample:

10 - Sixth Sense
8 - Usual Suspects
5- The Prestige
3- The Village
1 - High Tension, or something similar

Anyway, reasoning on Prestige: Explanation for how the trick is done is lazy (magic machine that we don't have to explain how it works) but the implications are actually pretty creepy and makes you think a bit.

Thoughts? Or post up a movie and let's rate the twist.

----
I check for: Serengeti, Zeroh, Open Mike Eagle, Jeremiah Jae, Moka Only.
