I hated Dobby in the books, and felt it was a heavyhanded metaphor the entire time he was used. Then they cut nearly his entire story out of the films... but still use him as this big cry-inducing finale. Cmon. One of the rare missteps Yates has made.

To his credit, my entire audience was very sad over Dobby and I heard audible sniffles all around. So maybe I'm just anti-Dobby.
