The tone was odd. Was it a satire of action movies? Tilda's character, the Asian woman on the train and the nude woman who he is supposed to have sex with but doesn't because of his standards were light-hearted and could be Jarmusch poking fun at action movies.
But the recaps and reviews of the movies made more sense than the movie itself. That being said, it was maybe a stronger script away from being a great movie, if say the satire was played up more or if there was a better way to get inside the interior of the hitman's mind.
