"IGN's Top 100 Animated Series list"
Mon Feb-02-09 02:40 PM by Vaiops2wega

I think there's way too many lame shows from the 70's on the list. It must've been made by oldheads. Where are the shows from MY youth like Life With Louie and C Bear And Jamal. Anime is fucking horrible, it shouldn't even be on the list. Also, I don't know if any you cats remember this, but there was a show called Extreme Ghostbusters in the late 90's where Egon trains a group of new young kids to catch ghosts. I REALLY loved that show. It had great storylines, excellent writing and dialogue, and really charming characters. It was also one of the last shows to have an outstanding American visual aesthetic, before every show started biting on anime. Did I mention Carlton provides his voice talents? I feel it's a crime that show didn't make the list. I know it wasn't hugely popular but it wasn't THAT obscure. Why is Robot Chicken on the list? Not only is it not animated it's also the most unfunny thing ever. Do you know what Robot Chicken is? It's just action figures talking dirty. It's 800 variations on that. The Flintstones? Fuck outta here. That show was terrible. The Flintstones are like the cartoon equivalent of Billy Crystal. I like the Simpsons but can a show that has been unfunny for half its current run really be the best animated show of all time? I think Batman should've been gotten the top honor but I'll settle for second, I guess.

Me playing rope-a-dope with that clown, Nettrice, in Activist:

My Topic: Professor Griff drops science on Obama

Nettrice: it's Professor Griff tho, not Chuck D may as well quote Flavor Flav

Vaiops2wega: Aww, Chuck D is nothing but a charlatan. Everybody knows Professor Griff IS Public Enemy

Nettrice: yeah. i don't even know what to say to that

Vaiops2wega: Well your opinion is in the minority and it can't be substantiated by anyone who knows anything about Public Enemy

Nettrice: lol...you really don't know what you're talking about i respect Harry Allen before Griff

Vaiops2wega: No, you don't know what YOU are talking about. It sounds like you have very rudimentary knowledge about Hip-Hop. Go back to school my friend

Nettrice: you don't posted about sidekick Griff like it was major news. no YOU really don't know

Vaiops2wega: Sideback? OMG, you guys! She just keeps digging herself in deeper! I really resent your disrespectul and dismissive attitude towards Griff. There's no need trying to marginalize a widely recognized legend simply because you have a general lack of knowledge when it comes to Hip Hop

Nettrice: ^^^thinks Professor Griff was the frontman of Public Enemy

Vaiops2wega: I mean, basically, he was. He made Public Enemy what it is

Nettrice: you are nuts. i was there. i interviewed P.E. and without Chuck, Harry Allen, and the Shocklees Public Enemy would not have blown up

when Griff was kicked out of P.E. they still had a couple of big albums with major hits (and media attention) afterwards

if Griff was as important as you claim then why didn't the group fold after his departure

huh?

Vaiops2wega: Who are you? Jeff Chang? Your revisionist history rivals that of George Bush

That doesn't prove anything! Why did the Supremes still have some hits after Diana Ross left? This is really pathetic, Nettrice. Now you're just grasping at straws.

Nettrice: name them

Vaiops2wega: "Up the Ladder to the Roof", "Stoned Love", "Nathan Jones", "River-Deep - Mountain High", and "Floy Joy" were all Top 20 hits.

Nettrice: Chuck D is a legend Griff ain't

Vaiops2wega: That's a common misconception among casual rap fans, but Chuck D's role in Public Enemy was highly overstated. Real heads know that he was a superfluous member of the group

Nettrice: ummm...what alternate universe are you in? you done lost your mind
