"Can we talk about Wong Kar-Wai? (late pass me if you must)"
I just watched the Chungking Express reissue on Blu-ray and was blown away. I immediately went through the DVD shelf and watched In The Mood For Love that my girl tried to get me to watch awhile ago but I said, "Nah." In terms of scriptwriting and cinematography, these films are nearly flawless. The panning shots across Hong Kong's beautiful nightscape are so inspiring. This man understands relationships so well and expresses this superbly through dialogue. Of course, there are some elements that can only be understood through an Asian frame of reference, but I definately empathize. There are certainly people on here who can articulate the greatness of this man's work better than me, so go ahead. Also, which of his other film's are worth checking out? Was that Norah Jones flick good?
