and i'm not talking about really good plays.
i'm talking about a decent play vs. a decent football game.
the sporting event has an advantage because the audience knows that it's all unfolding in front of them.
(it's also got the benefit of having a clear winner at the end, but that's another story.)
and i think the fact that it's happening in the moment goes a long way towards earning those three hours of viewing time.
