"Playwrights: TRY to keep y'all plays under 5,000 hours long"
Come on.
I appreciate the purity of stage just as much as anyone, but goddamn if I haven't decided against going to a play half a dozen times since June because I look at the length and see: "approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes."
Half the time t NOT INCLUDING intermission.
I seen a good play this evening...woulda been better if it didn't gobble up half my Thursday.
I understand that the long-winded exchanges are a part of stage acting...that's what makes it great.. ...soliloquies and all that...its dope.
But you've got to find a way to keep this shit down.
Hell, I barely can stand MOVIES that long...any movie over two hours I generally watch through multiple sittings at the crib.
This is just a non-artist's take on the matter that I think might improve the product.
