we're always either coons, thugs, hoes and con-artists or we're incredibly rich, living the upper-middle class lifestyle. hollywood (and a good number of black writers) consider the average black person to be boring, but it's been proven to be a success in both film and tv. (claudine, frank's place, sanford & son, etc.) unfortunately, nobody has broken thru with a film about the common black person.
