I'm not any kind of literary expert to claim that, but I have loved his work and NCFOM is my favorite movie of the last 41 years. I still go back to The Road and Blood Meridian every few years.

strangely, while NCFOM is pulled nearly verbatim from the page, the Coens made it their own movie. McCarthy wrote it as a screenplay and they brought it to life in a way the book could never do so for me.

I've had a copy of The Passenger sitting on my dresser for the past few months. guess it is time to dig in.
