It just felt like there were a bunch of scenes missing leading up to Steven Yeun having that event in his amusement park and then it looked like it was missing a shot of Steven Yeun realizing the incredible mistake he made.
From a technical storytelling perspective, it just didn't seem like those scenes worked.
Like, I hate to backseat screenwrite but, imagine if Kayula realized what Yeun had planned AND realized it was a death trap and he was racing to the theme park to try and stop him and save the people. That would have played dramatically better but we were left trying to figure what the heck was going on in that scene.
