For a lot of them, the delivery of lines and pacing of some of the scenes just didn’t feel right. Almost felt like a Curb parody at times. Like when Larry was playing George in season 7 - felt like damn near everybody on the show was doing a forced impression of their character.
It seems to have gone away now and feels more “normal”. Larry has definitely become a bigger asshole and far less subtle about things the last couple seasons. He used to do a slow burn before exploding, now he’s just ready to rant and rave at the drop of a hat. It’s kinda similar to how George Costanza’s character changed by the end of Seinfeld.
