I may be "wrong" but 5 and 6 felt less like drawn-out spectacle like this one did.
There really shouldn't be any complaints about "plausibility" at this point. You get what you get with these movies, and asking for them to be "grounded in reality" at this point is a little bananas.
I actually thought the sequence with the car flying through the two buildings was more exciting than the Caucasus mountains sequence.
Also, Michelle Rodriguez in a red dress.
The Paul Walker tribute was moving and well-done. Writer Chris Morgan said that he and the creative team never entertained the thought of killing off Paul Walker's character, so there's that. He also said that he scripts out most of the set pieces and makes sure they have a three-act structure of their own.
Nicely done.
