For the life of me I can't understand why this series doesn't get any shine I was glad to see Macy nominated last night, his character is one of the best (worst?) scumbags ever
but other than that...crickets. I'm guessing it's the "city white trash" angle that turns people off or whatever. I'm just glad it hasn't got showtimed and the writing keeps going strong.
Character development, comedy, coming of age, family drama, love stories, fall from grace, this show has it all and manages to explore these themes without OD'ing on cliches and tropes (except for the Jimmy/Steve comeback, but nothing's perfect).
This season started off strong as usual. They're gonna go into gentrification and as something we talk about here a lot, I'm looking forward to how they handle it.
More than Fiona, Lip is the anchor that holds the Gallaghers down, and he's on the edge of a cliff right now.
