The fact that they're already saying that they are going away from the comic books tells me; this movie will more likely suck. WB is over-thinking this. They've had the right for the DC Universe for decades, now. What they've produced is a lot more misses than hits. The last Superman was barely a success but it looks like they're getting way too confident. Eisenberg is a horrible choice. Lex Luthor is an iconic character with a strong physical presence and eloquence. Eisenberg claim to fame is playing spastic, nervous, blabbing teenagers characters that gets pushed around. How are we confident that he 'll be able to play a character that iconically is the contrary to all that? Lex is confident, calculating and menacing. There's a whole buncha young actors out there that fit that bill a lot better than Eisenberg does. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised but I ain't buying it. The bad guy in action movies is the reason you care about the story. If you don't buy the bad guy, the story will suffer.Hopefully it's a version of Eisenberg we haven't seen yet, because Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill whooping Jessie Eisenberg's ass is not the hardest thing in the world to believe.
