>and that fool is way off on their racist agenda. the show has >3 main characters, everyone else is secondary to the plot. > >astrid >broyles >nina >lincoln >charlie > >even william bell didn't have much character development >outside of anything used to move the plot of the franchise >forward. at the same time, we got a small glimpse of all of >their lives somewhere along the way. > >of all the things to complain about, that isn't one of 'em.
I mean, I kind of get it. Whenever I see a cool black character Im always hoping they get a bunch of action; a cool side plotline, an actual sexlife, et. But it's unfair to complain when it doesn't happen at this level; network television is JUST coming around to such hard to grasp storytelling concepts like 'character development' for even their main cast members, lol. Cool negro odds are is going to stay cool negro*, not because of racism, just because that's the way the show is.
With Walter's brain totally friend and on Jekyl & Hyde status, Olivia's psychic powers, Pacey being from another dimension...I don't know if a very special Astrid episode would have fit anywhere in the show, lol. I also think its unfair for them to call out the running Astrid name joke..it's obvious that with the exception of Peter Astrid gets Walt's affection in an almost daughterly way...WAAAAY more the Oliva ever got.
*along with jokey sidekick, dark loner with a past, sexpot who doesn't actually have s she's usually a scientist), and the bruiser character who's face looks so pretty he's never taken a punch in his life...he also doesn't like wearing shirts that fit him.
