Denzel's Whip is a fucking junkie and it's established in the first 5 minutes. When he did that line of coke, I lost all sympathy for that nigga. And I'm glad that nigga got his just desserts in the end. And I did find it preachy.
With all that said this is a really good film. Glad Bob came back to live action and I'm glad he hasn't missed a step. Denzel was great. I'm pretty sure this dude is gonna get a nomination for Actor. And the plane crash sequence was an intense ten minutes. Also, Kelly Reilly, which y'all niggas know from Sherlock Holmes 1 & 2 as Mrs. John Watson, kilt it also as a junkie Denzel becomes involved with.
Also, Bob was the most proactive during our Q&A, giving great answers and leaving us with stuff to marinate which is a total 180 from when he came in for Christmas Carol and that niggas was on autopilot. Denzel was high as fuck and would slyly avoid answering questions by pivoting back to Bob to answer.
All-in-all, a really good film that's overfucking hyped. Outside of technical, acting, and direction, I don't see this as a major contender in the screenplay or picture race.
