And when I hit that point with a title, I find the only thing to do is just take a break. Not from all superhero comics, just that one in particular. Try something new... Or check out "Unstable Molecules" if your library carries it. Most earthbound Fantastic Four story ever.
But on some level, I agree. Hickman has gone BIG throughout this whole run, and if everything is world threatening, then nothing is world threatening. Worse yet, some of the weaker issues have told us rather than showed us just how big and bad things are. All in all he's doing right by me, though, and I think his FF run will rank among the best when all is said and done. It's just a wild book, the "stakes" are in its DNA.
Whoever comes on the book next won't be able to out-big Hickman, so maybe they'll reinvent the book with a different approach. Hopefully it won't suck
