That was my main problem. The way it ended left it feeling incomplete. Yes it's supposed to go right into the next one, but it didn't make for a cohesive film on it's own.
As in, when the series is done, I would probably never say "I want to watch The Deathly Hollows Part 1." Whereas HBP, even ending as it does, gives that resolution that makes the whole movie stand on it's own.
I wonder if, after the other comes out, they'll mash the two up like they were going to 'but didn't on a large scale' do with Kill Bill. I know plenty of folks in the theater (including folks I was with) were saying "I could've sat for another two hours..."
