Eminem brought in a huge audience of people who probably wouldn't have been interested in rap, but he still had his time in the backpacker scene doing shit with Rawkus/Eastern Conference, and he was affiliated with Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Snoop Etc..

ICP's fans mainly listened to rap on their label or other "weirdo"/Alt rap. It's only recently that ICP started showing up for interviews on traditional hip hop networks like Hot 97/sway in the morning/etc, and their music still doesn't get played on those stations.

As for ICP themselves, they do come across as hardcore fans of the hip hop that was popping in the 80s/early 90s. they've done songs with people like Ol Dirty bastard, Ice-T, 3-6 Mafia, and their Gathering of the Juggalos has had a bunch of certified legends on the bill
