If I press up 20 copies of my album and set the price at $150, and 2 years from now I'm sitting on 19 copies, it's not a collectors item, it's a bad business move.

Doesn't matter if there are only 1,000 copies made, if I can still get one of those copies months/years after, it's not as valuable as something that originally sold for 30 bucks but is not easy to find.
