"Should we have told the kids to get off the lawn? (music industry reflec..."

Followers of music were split around the turn of the century based upon the influence of digital media and the music industry. Some wanted the democratization of music to continue and allow any artist with a dope song and talent to be able to distribute their music on the scale of any major. Others thought that the death of the majors as we know it would cause the quality of music to suffer.
